When it comes to beverages, I’m an anomolomy. Most folks I know enjoy coffee in the morning and wine with dinner. Not me. While my friends order Starbucks, I find the closest Mickie D’s and get myself a large .99 Diet Coke. If I want to go fancy for an evening meal, I order a Diet Coke with a lemon and extra ice. If its cold and fizzy, I’m happy.
So, when I was flipping through the February 1962 edition of McCalls magazine, this ad for Coke got my attention. I saw a pot of delicious stew and glass of ice filled with Coke. Next to it was the classic mid-century glass coke bottle. Hmm. I think I’ll make stew for dinner.
