1958 – Maidenform make-over

I dreamed I was made over in my Maidenform bra

1959 Bra Ad for Maidenform – I dreamed I was made over in my Maidenform Bra

Here is another Maidenform Bra ad that was part of their “I dreamed I was . . .” ad campaign. Here, we see a mid-century diva getting her hair and nails done at the same time. She is almost dressed–except of course for her top. Note the box pictured on the bottom of the ad. The price reads $3.95. the size? 34B. It is interesting that bras were sold in boxes vs on the those plastic little hangers like is common today.

About Janet

I'm an American baby boomer with a strange hobby. I collect mid-century women's magazines. My blog, MidCenturyPage.com is a result of a 20 year passion to scan the pages of these magazines and share them with anyone who wants to understand what mid-century women thought about, cared about, and worried about while living in the 1950's and 1960's
