There are two things that I have consistently hated throughout my long life. The first is olives. Yuck. The second is football. Both are present in abundance at my house on Thanksgiving day. To acknowledge this long tradition which I have learned to tolerate, here is a cool illustration by Thornton Utz of a football tackle. It accompanied a short story titled “Football Majors at Pacific U” by William Samrot. The short story appeared in the October 1959 edition of Cosmopolitan magazine.
