An intimate menu for a midnight meal

For the last day of the year, I want to share this article from the November 1953 edition of Glamour magazine. The theme here is midnight. More specifically, a food plan for intimate dinner to be served at midnight.

. . . lay in an extra supply of tall slim candles to put the proceedings in the proper romantic light, and let midnight and good food work their special magic.
