The yummy tree you see comes to us all the way from 1956. What is it advertising?

Gold Medal Flour. The ad told the reader that recipes for 12 different cookies could be found at their favorite grocer. The recipes could be added to their Betty Crocker recipe book.
Paintbrush Cookies, Chocolate Thumbprints, Christmas stockings . . . 12 tempting homemades, all just as good as they look!

The ad appeared in the December 1956 issue of Woman’s Day magazine.

Merry Christmas and Happy Baking!
