We began the month of September with an ad for Chase and Sanborn instant coffee from 1954. Here is one from 2 years earlier. The illustration was found in the February 1952 edition of Family Circle magazine. It is one of several typical illustrations found in mid-century magazines where the advertisers featured a bright-eyed woman to sell coffee and other grocery store items.
