This ad for North Star blankets was published in the October 1951 edition of Today’s Woman magazine. It shows a couple preparing for bed in a room with 2 twin beds. This concept baffles me. We know that censor laws required TV married couple bedrooms to have separate beds. But why carry over these laws to a magazine that clearly discussed sex in its articles or short stories?

Wish I looked that glamorous when getting ready to go to sleep!

I think she has the routine reversed. Note to self: REMOVE makeup at night and PUT IT ON in the morning.
