Black and white striped cotton strapless dress – Vogue May 1964

Yesterday’s post showed lacy summer looks from a May 1964 Vogue article titled, “Looks that Make a Summer”. Today we feature graphic looks from the same article.

The idea here, pointed as this paragraph- long evening dresses with a sharp-edged dazzle that comes from the exciting play of black on white, one of the smartest plays you can make this special summer.

The look above is a “white cotton strapless dress striped in black. Seaasi Boutique for Martinini about $145 at Miss Bergdorf of Bergdorf Goodman.”

This one is described as “Bold black and white checks on silk surah, long dress and very low at the back by Charles Cooper, about $145 at Bonwit Teller”.
