Here’s a classic luxury car ad from 1957 for the Imperial Crown Convertible. The ad was featured in Harper’s Bazaar magazine–a magazine for upper crust women with expensive taste. This fashion magazine was generally filled with ads for clothing, undergarments, furs, and travel. Car ads were rare, but you would occasionally find them among the pages .

Of course the car makers who advertised in women’s magazines wrote the copy to appeal to the female audience. It is always fun to read the copy.
