1957 Style in Bus Terminal

Knitwear fashion ad from 1957 and a reminder of Rosa Parks.

Are we to believe that people dressed like this for bus travel in 1957? Dunno. When I see a mid-century bus photo, my thoughts turn to the heroic Rosa Parks who refused to give up her seat on a bus in 1955.  Something tells me that these ladies who are dressed in red, white and blue could pick any seat they wished.

The ad you see was for Lawrence Knitwear and was published in the September 1958 edition of Mademoiselle magazine.
