Here is a great ad from 1963 for Hollywood Cosmetics. At first glance, it appears that the woman in the Jackie Kennedy suit is an Avon Lady wanna-be. However, after reading the copy, it looks like Studio Girl-Hollywood Cosmetics is a company that sells gifts. And get this–it references Christmas shopping in September! And we thought shameful pre-Thanksgiving Christmas shopping promotion was a 21st century thing. (Published in the September 1963 Good Housekeeping Magazine).
